When presented with new information that a person is not aware of, the default thought process includes "this is new, I don't know what this is, let me find out more." or "I don't like this. It's bullshit!".
However, due to self-preservation, the foremost thought in priority and time is "what does this mean for me?", "what's in it for me?", or “what can I do with this?”
By default, in seeking the answers for such queries, people will conflate or associate something new and different with something that is old and the same.
However, if the output and outcome are different for the new and the old, the 2 are not the same nor are they of the same old mind and they certainly don't have the same point of origin.
